Growing Great Governance: Free training

This workshop will give you skills to maximise your collective confidence and competence as a governance group and will be customised to add value to your organisation’s stage of development.

Thursday 6 July 9:30 - 1:30pm

286 Te Moana Rd, Waikanae Baptist Church

With the increased accountability in the charitable sector, not for profit organisations need to ensure their boards have a good understanding of their role and how they can add value to the organisation.

This workshop aims to increase participants’ understanding of ‘good governance’ for not for profit organisations, clarifies the roles and tasks of a board and promotes team work in the board room. It will boost your board's confidence and competence in their role and responsibilities and will explore:

  • Effective governance models and how to maximise board roles and functions
  • Ways to add value as a governance group and pitfalls to watch out for
  • Organising for effectiveness – getting things done and sticking to the priorities
