Where: Hongoeka Marae Plimmerton

Mana Atua, Mana Whēnua, Mana Tāngata is the proverb we have chosen to encapsulate the essence of the Conscious Roots Festival. This whakatauāki highlights the importance of spirit, land and people.

Conscious Roots brings whānau together over two days to celebrate and strengthen the connections we have with each other, to share skills and consolidate community resilience. The festival is a gathering of likeminded people ready to share, inspire and educate in a multitude of organic, sustainable and health conscious practices. There will be experts in Permaculture, Intentional Community, Rongoa, Yoga, Music, Mirimiri, Alternative Housing, Natural Medicines, Non Violent communication, Maori star navigation, Kids Zone and more...

With a rural seaside setting, native bush clad hills that come down to the shoreline and Hongoeka Marae in Plimmerton as the venue, this festival will be a unique experience that festival goers will not experience elsewhere.

The Conscious Roots Festival is FULLY CATERED, so food for the two days is included in the ticket price. Limited marae style accommodation is also available on a first in, first served basis. Ticket prices are $60 per adult, kids under 5 free with varying prices for families, students and unemployed.
