Coastal Hazards

Withdrawal of maps and provisions

Based on the recommendations of the Independent Reviews of the PDP, the proposal to withdraw the maps and provisions relating to:

  • Coastal Hazard Management Areas,
  • hazardous facilities,
  • and references to priority areas for restoration

was adopted by the Regulatory Management Committee on 2 October 2014 and publicly notified on 30 October 2014.

Submission points related to withdrawn provisions can no longer progress through the hearing process.  Any future provisions will be open to a new round of public consultation and formal submissions by any interested party.

The PDP chapters, updated using strikethrough versions to reflect the withdrawal of text, are available in Volume 1 of the PDP.   

Updated PDP maps with withdrawal layers are available in Volume 3 of the PDP.
