Vegetation on traffic Islands

To report a tree growing into power lines, you will need to call Electra ph 0800 567 876.

Tree growing into telephone lines

To report a tree/s growing into telephone lines, please telephone either company below: 

Vodafone (0800 800 966) or Chorus (0800 463 896).

For any of the following tree issues,

  • Branch has fallen onto the berm/small branch is hanging and ready to fall;

  • Branch overhanging the footpath or road;
  • Tree looks as if it is going to fall;
  • Tree is obstructing vision/poses a safety concern when driving;
  • Tree roots are damaging the sewer line;
  • Tree roots are damaging the water pipes;
  • Tree fallen onto footpath;
  • Rural zone trees requiring trimming/removing/attending to;

Leaf fall

All residential streets are swept 4 times per year, with the exception of some arterial streets which are swept monthly.  Additional sweeps are not undertaken by Council.
