Get involved in one of the biggest arts events in the lower North Island.
Applications for the 2017 Kāpiti Arts Trail on 28/29 October and 4/5 November are open, giving artists and galleries the opportunity to showcase their work and connect with the public.
The deadline for applications, which should be submitted online at kapiticoast.govt.nz/apply-arts-trail, is Monday 15 May, 5pm.
“This is a fabulous event that has really grown over its 17 years of existence,” says Jaenine Parkinson, Council’s Libraries and Arts Project Coordinator. “It’s a great chance to really show your art off to lots of locals, as well as people from neighbouring districts and further afield.”
Free 30-minute sessions to help with applications are available at Paraparaumu Library on 18 April, 9am-12pm and 19 April, 1-4pm. Bookings are essential via firstname.lastname@example.org
There is also an opportunity to advertise your studio, hub or gallery in the 2017/18 Kāpiti Arts Guide even if you are not exhibiting at this year’s arts trail. Apply online at kapiticoast.govt.nz/apply-arts-guide by 15 May.
