About this opportunity
The Mahara Gallery Trust and the Kāpiti Coast District Council are looking for an Independent Chair to oversee the Mahara Joint Monitoring Committee. This committee has been established to oversee the impact and future potential of Toi MAHARA, the district’s public art gallery.
About the role
As the Independent Chair of the Mahara Joint Monitoring Committee, you will be responsible for providing effective and inclusive leadership to the six committee members, ensuring that all voices are heard, and that decisions made enable Toi MAHARA to be innovative, collaborative and effective.
In this voluntary role, of up to five hours per month, you will ensure that the quarterly meetings of the Mahara Joint Monitoring Committee are planned and run in an effective manner, and oversee the performance of the committee and the implementation and effectiveness of any decisions made by the committee.
