Business Partner Human Resources

We are looking for a Business Partner Human Resources to join our People & Capability (P&C) Group, a dynamic team that plays a key role in shaping the culture and success of the organisation.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a strategic impact, partnering with senior leadership across various business groups to deliver high-quality, tailored HR solutions. Te tūranga: The Opportunity
As a Business Partner HR, you will work closely with Group Managers (GMs) and people leaders to provide proactive and strategic HR support across a range of functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, change management, and workforce planning. You will play a vital role in embedding effective HR practices, helping to align the workforce with business objectives and supporting continuous improvement.
You will report to the Manager of Human Resources Service Delivery and supported by an HR advisor and Coordinator, furthermore, collaborate across the greater P&C group in cross-functional teams and HR specialists to develop and implement strategic HR frameworks, tools, and initiatives that drive business performance and enhance the employee experience.

Strategic Business Partnering: Work with GMs and leaders to shape workforce strategies and provide HR advice to achieve business goals.
Organisational Development: Collaborate with the OD team to implement initiatives that enhance leadership, culture, and engagement.
Leadership Development & Coaching: Coach senior leaders to improve decision-making, people management, and change management skills.
Employee Relations & Performance Management: Advise on employee relations, grievance handling, performance management, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Change Management: Guide leaders through planning and executing organizational change to ensure smooth transitions.
Workforce Planning & Strategy: Lead workforce planning to align HR strategies with business objectives and future needs.
Talent Acquisition & Management: Develop talent acquisition strategies and support succession planning and career development.
Na tōu rourou: What you will bring
- Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Significant generalist HR experience, with a strong foundation in HR and OD practices. Expertise in employment law, performance management, employee relations, change management, and talent management.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with leaders at all levels and influence key decisions.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Proven ability to coach and mentor senior leaders and HR professionals, supporting their development and helping them manage complex HR challenges.
- Cultural Awareness: Demonstrated commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a strong understanding of Māori perspectives and tikanga Māori.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to navigate complex HR issues and propose innovative solutions. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
