We require a Customer Experience Librarian to join our bustling Paraparaumu library.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a part-time role where you can hit the ground running and contribute to a positive library experience for our community.
In this key position, you’ll be deeply committed to a customer-centric approach; fostering a welcoming and helpful environment while interacting with the community to ensure they receive exceptional customer service. Additionally, you’ll enjoy contributing to initiatives and business improvements and will be enthusiastic about participating in special workstreams or projects such as our Pēpi Time or school holiday activities.
You will work alongside several Customer Experience Librarians, and report to the Hub Lead. Together as a team you will ensure the day-to-day running of the library goes smoothly and enhances the library and hub experience.

About you | He kōrero mōu
To excel in this role, you will have a qualification and/or relevant work experience in a library or similar customer service environment, or proven commitment to community/hapu/iwi initiatives and hold a current and valid NZ Driver licence.
You’ll also bring strong knowledge of and experience in:
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work without supervision.
- Capable and willing to work with a wide range of people within the organisation and the wider community.
- Ability to adapt to a changeable work environment, and to work collaboratively as a team member to deliver a range of programmes and services to the community.
- Ability to communicate professionally in a range of situations, in verbal and written formats.
