KCDC is seeking a dynamic Digital Lead to develop and maintain software and community-focused programs and drive our Libraries into the digital future.
Sticking to the status quo isn't how we roll. We want you to push boundaries, innovate, and boldly embrace change.
It’s a big role, but don’t worry, you won’t be alone. You’ll be leading a small team within Libraries whose work will impact across the entire Kāpiti Coast. Your role is to inspire them to integrate technology in libraries, creating a dynamic digital culture that benefits all library users and the wider community!
Key responsibilities:
- Foster digital literacy and engagement across diverse communities.
- Lead a team in delivering the library's internal and community digital and IT offering.
- Support the strategic direction of our soon-to-be-built Makerspace, a technical hub to provide training and experience on things like 3D Printers and robots.
- Maximise the community use of our brand new (not yet launched) Makerspace van to take digital tech out to the community.
- Ensure our digital prowess shines across every library in the district with relevance and personalisation to that community.
- Lead and mentor a team of digital mavericks, turning ideas into reality by fostering a culture of creativity, boldness and innovation.
