Accessibility at our meetings
Council meetings and public briefings are livestreamed and recorded for YouTube. We can help with translations, including New Zealand Sign Language, or extra support to speak at meetings. You can also attend online and get interpreters if needed.
Attending Council meetings
All Council meetings and public briefings are livestreamed, and recordings are uploaded to Council’s Youtube channel.
See our page about Accessing our Civic Building for how you can access our main building, and what you can expect to find there.
If you need a translation, including New Zealand Sign Language translation, of any agendas or documents, contact the Governance team.
Participating at our meetings
If you need any extra support to speak to elected members, email the Governance team.
If you can’t attend in person, you might be able join the meeting online. All public briefings and meetings are livestreamed on our website, and the recordings are uploaded to our YouTube channel within three working days.
We can arrange interpreters, including New Zealand Sign Language interpreters, and a hearing loop is available in the Council Chamber. Email the Governance team about arranging this for you.
