Everything Kāpiti - nominations open today for our Kāpiti Good Sorts Awards
1 Apr 2025
The clocks go back this Sunday, 6 April, marking the end of daylight saving and a switch to winter dog zones, which means more relaxed beach rules for dogs. Meanwhile, toxic algae has been found at Jim Cooke Park, Waikanae River, so please keep your pets away from the water.
If you know someone making a difference for our community, nominations open today for our Kāpiti Good Sorts Awards. You can also nominate a community group for the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards. Details are on our website.
Tomorrow, we’re opening consultation on our proposed Freedom Camping Bylaw—have your say by Friday, 2 May. You can also still share feedback on future water service options. Head to Have Your Say online to read more and sign up for updates.
