Last chance to be on Coastlands Aquatic Centre tile wall

You'll have to be in quick if you want to become a small and permanent part of the Coastlands Aquatic Centre.

There are only four gold tiles left at $500 each and they will only be available until close of business Monday. The 'tiles' are not ceramic squares as originally envisioned but inscribed gold, silver and blue squares that form part of two stunning sheet metal artworks to go in the complex foyer.

The tile wall will be unveiled at the opening of the Coastlands Aquatic Centre on 10 August.

"This is a great chance to have your name associated with the pool," says Kāpiti Aquatic Centre Trust member Diane Ammundsen, a main driving force behind the tile sales. "More than 700 tiles have already been donated. Many of the donors are local families; there are quite a few businesses, and some people have donated in the memory of a loved one who is no longer with us."
