Black Sticks preparing for matches in Kapiti
Black Sticks player Jacob Smith is looking forward to meeting Japan at the Kapiti Sports Turf.
The Black Sticks Men are training hard for their upcoming matches against Japan in Wellington and Kāpiti later this month.
“We’re really looking forward to meeting Japan in Wellington and also being in Kāpiti for the first time,” says Black Sticks Men’s coach Colin Batch.
“I’ve heard Kāpiti has one of the best hockey facilities in the country, so it will be great to play the deciding matches at that venue.”
The four hockey matches are scheduled for 18/19 November at the National Hockey Stadium in Wellington and 21/22 at the Coastlands Kapiti Sport Turf in Paraparaumu.
“We are ready for the arrival of both teams,” says Kapiti Sports Turf Manager, Sonja Williams. “Everything is coming together and both games are going to be great sporting events.”
