Have your say on public art for Paraparaumu
Published 11 Jul 2016
The Public Art Panel and Paraparaumu-Raumati Community Board is calling for input on a proposed art installation for Paraparaumu Beach.
Board chair Fiona Vining says there’s a range of ways for the community to provide feedback on what themes they think the installation should explore or stories they would like it to tell.
“We’d love to hear from people about what they think the public art should represent, as it will be an installation for the whole community to enjoy,” she says.
Feedback from the community will be collated and provided to the Public Art Panel for consideration before a final decision is made by Council.
Community board members will be available to take feedback at the follow places:
· Tuesday 12 July: Paraparaumu Beach kiosk, 7-8pm
· Thursday 14 July: Paraparaumu Library children’s area, 5-7pm
· Saturday 16 July: Paraparaumu Beach market, 9-11am (weather permitting)
You can also provide feedback by filling in an online form at www.kapiticoast.govt.nz/public-art or pick up a hard copy from Paraparaumu Library, fill it in and return it completed form to the library by 5pm, 28 July 2016.
