Local Government elections 2016
Kāpiti residents can keep eye on their letterbox this week with voting papers for this year’s election expected from Friday.
Electoral Officer Jude Wadsworth says preparation for the ‘Vote’ phase of this year’s local government elections for Kāpiti Coast District Council is underway.
“You need to complete and have your papers in by no later than 12 noon on polling day, 8 October 2016,” she says.
“You can vote as soon as you have the papers in your hands, don’t leave it until the last minute.”
Votes can be posted back or dropped off at Kāpiti Coast District Council libraries and service centres or at the Civic Building on Rimu Road in Paraparaumu.
Voting papers are expected in letterboxes between 16 to 21 September – if it hasn’t arrived by the 21 September contact us.
Local organisations, community groups and business associations will be holding candidate evenings throughout September. Please contact the groups involved for further information.
