Approved owner status reduces dog registration fee

Want to pay less to register your dog? Apply for approved dog owner status by 1 May!

If your application is accepted, you’ll be entitled to a discounted registration fee from the next financial year starting July 2017.

To qualify as an approved owner your dog must be micro-chipped, have its registration fee paid for the current financial year and have not been impounded or prosecuted in the last two years. Plus, your property must be securely fenced to ensure your dog cannot escape.
