Kāpiti Coast trails are open for business
The Kāpiti Coast District Council is encouraging locals and visitors to the Coast to get out and about and explore the district's cycleways, walkways and bridleways this summer.
Economic Development Manager Sarah Todd says Kāpiti has a great network of safe and accessible, family-friendly trails that people of all ages and levels of fitness can enjoy.
"As a destination we have a wealth of choice when it comes to our local trails, both on and off-road, and we want people to get out and about and to explore all that Kāpiti has to offer.
"To make it easy we've designed a new easy-to-read map of our cycleway, walkway and bridleway network that lists ten trails covering more than 100 kilometres of the Kāpiti Coast," said Ms Todd.
The map is currently available at the Kāpiti i-SITE, next to the Mediterranean Food Warehouse, Coastlands in the Paraparaumu town centre and can be downloaded from the Council's website www.kapiticoast.govt.nz/stridenride. Copies will be distributed to i-SITES around the lower north island and to local accommodation and business providers in the New Year.
"Our trails are open for business so tell your friends and family to load up their bikes and pack up their walking shoes and explore Kapiti this summer."
