Proposed District Plan appeals period closed last week
The period for submitters to make appeals to the Environment Court on the Kāpiti Coast District Council’s Proposed District Plan (PDP) has now closed.
Mayor K Gurunathan says a total of 18 appeals have been received and he is optimistic that the appeals will be resolved through open dialogue with the appellants over the next few months.
Both the Operative District Plan and the PDP Decisions version currently apply to all building and resource consents. An Appeals version of the PDP will be produced and made publicly available on the Council’s website by the end of February. The Appeals version will identify which parts of the PDP are subject to appeal and which are not. The process of resolving appeals is managed through Environment Court mediation.
