Metamorphic
Metamorphic is located on the back walls of 5 Coastlands Parade, Kāpiti Lights, and was commissioned from local artist Theo Arraj by the Public Art Panel in 2017.
Metamorphic is a key feature of the Council’s upgrade of the Kāpiti Lights area, working in partnership with Coastlands and Kāpiti Lights businesses. Metamorphic's bold, colourful design complements the planting and paving installed during the upgrade, and helped transform the Kāpiti Lights area into a welcoming public space.
My aim is to inspire others as I have been inspired by those before me, to create works that empower people and speak to the soul. Peace by piece, The Art Saves. – Theo Arraj
