Waimanu Lagoons
The Waimanu Lagoons Reserve is a popular location for informal recreation, full of historic interest and an important part of the Kapiti Coast’s distinctive coastal system with its associated natural values.
The lagoons provide a fully sealed loop walk in a relaxing space with plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the peaceful nature of the area. The lagoons lead into the Waikanae Estuary Scientific Reserve at the mouth of the Waikanae River and connecting the Kāpiti Coast Cycle Route with the Waikanae River Trail.
Dogs on-leash and on formed pathways at all times – see our Dog exercise areas for more details.
