On The Rocks Covers Band Live Music
The Waterfront Bar and Kitchen, Raumati, Kapiti Coast
FRI 09 MAY 8:00 P.M.
We're On The Rocks, and we're here to turn your night up to 11! We're a bunch of mates from the Kāpiti Coast who figured out that playing killer tunes by night is the perfect way to unwind after our day jobs. Our gigs? They're like a rollercoaster ride through the best tunes of the last few decades. We start off nice and easy - you know, the kind of stuff your mum likes - but by the end of the night, we'll have you headbanging so hard you'll need to see a chiropractor in the morning! Our lineup's a bit of a motley crew: Kylie's our powerhouse vocalist. She can do it all, from soulful ballads that'll make you drunk-text your ex, to rock anthems that'll have you using your beer bottle as a mic. Dave's the quiet one on bass, but don't let that fool you. His basslines are so groovy, they should come with a warning label. Steve's our madman on drums. We're pretty sure he's part octopus - how else could he hit that many drums at once? And then there's Matt and Matt on guitars. Yeah, we know it's confusing. We just yell "Oi, Matt!" and hope the right one turns around. Turns out, when you mix Kylie's killer pipes with our enthusiastic instrument-bashing, you get something pretty special. Who knew? Our setlist? It's like a mixtape your cool older sibling might have made you in the 90s. We'll ease you in with some chill tunes, maybe some Fleetwood Mac or Eagles. But by the end of the night, we'll have you belting out Bon Jovi like you're playing Wembley Stadium. You can catch us all over Wellington, Kāpiti and up into Manawatu playing pubs, clubs, weddings, and corporate events. Why should you book us? Well, we're cheaper than therapy and louder than your neighbour's lawnmower on a Sunday morning. We know more songs than you can shake a stick at, and we promise not to play Wagon Wheel unless at least three drunk blokes request it. Fair warning though: side effects of our gigs may include sore feet from dancing, a hoarse voice from singing along, and the uncontrollable urge to high-five strangers. So if you want your event to be less snooze-fest and more Glastonbury, give us a shout. On The Rocks is here to make sure your night is less "meh" and more "hell yeah!"
