Certify building project
When you've finished your building project, there's still some steps you'll need to go through to make sure you have your documentation complete. This is an important step.
Steps
When your building project is finished, we'll need to certify your project following these steps:
1. Agent/Owner advises Council project is finished
2. Agent/Owner books final inspection
3. Building officer carries out final inspection
4. Owner applies for code compliance certificate.
Note: you'll need to make this application within six months of the final inspection being carried out. If more than six months have passed since your final inspection, you'll need to book another final inspection to confirm that there have been no subsequent changes affecting the building consent work.
5. Council reviews project
6. Council issues code compliance certificate.
