Hairdressers
We all love a great hairdresser, and our hairdressers do an amazing job of looking after us; including following particular rules to keep everyone safe. This includes registering under the Health Act 1956.
Registering a new hairdressing business
To apply to open a new hairdressing business:
- Complete all sections of the Registration of hairdressing premises [DOCX 223 KB] form.
- Attach a floor plan of the premises.
- Submit your application to a council service centre.
- Ensure the applicable Environmental health and food premises fees have been paid.
Renewing registration
Your registration needs to be renewed on 1 July every year.
- We'll send you an invoice for the renewal fee in June each year.
- Once we've received your payment of the relevant Environmental health and food premises fees, we'll email your renewed registration certificate.
See Payment options for how to pay.
Please let us know of any changes to your contact details.
